Trip to Bintan

We had a short getaway to the nearby isle, it was Jordan's first trip. We were excited, thinking about the sand, sun and sea! But a day before the trip, Yu Jie developed rashes on her body. The Chinese physician said she was otherwise fine, no discomfort, no fever. We went on with our travel plan.

The kids were in great mood, playing at the ferry terminal.
We were all ready for a fun trip!

The weather wasn't as sunny as I had wished. When we arrived at the hotel, the sky was cloudy and threatened to rain! Our spirits were dampened. It was too early to check in (we took the first ferry and arrived at 9 a.m.) We decided to explore other parts of the hotel. We had planned to swim but it was too chilly.

Yu Jie loves swings! We spent some time at the playground since we had lots of time!

Lunch time!

Relaxing at the lobby area, munching on titbits...

By the time we checked in, we were already drowsy from tiredness and slept the whole afternoon?!
It was already evening when we woke up. Tummies were growling and we went for out dinner. We have not even swum at all!

Looking more refreshed after a nap.

Dinner alfresco and there was a local dance performance.

We woke up early to have a dip in the pool after a heavy breakfast. We had the whole afternoon to explore other parts of the isle and found this place. There was trampoline for the kids and shooting for the older ones.

Yu Jie was keen on the trampoline though it was more for 6 year olds and older. Nevertheless, the staff said she could try.
Here she is, waiting for her turn and watching how the older kids turned somersaults and what-nots.

We did not do much on the isle but it was a great bonding time with the kids. I must say the experience at the trampoline was fantastic.
